In the second set of the 14-week study on the Life of Elisha, we will learn much about the gift of the word of knowledge. Though Elisha flowed in supernatural healing and miraculous power over nature, the predominant gift that spanned his entire ministry was the word of knowledge (see 1 Corinthians 12:8). Elisha’s ministry also is seen to create an intersection between God’s Kingdom and the kingdom of man (culture, government, military). The Life of Elisha helps us all to discern the days in which we are presently living, and it empowers us to live and serve as those through whom God desires to manifest His power to an unbelieving world.
